While waiting for the furnace units to be installed, the framers have come back to finish up the sofits, frames around the fireplaces and the theater ceiling. The trim around the windows has been completed and you can now see them unobstructed. Stone has been delivered for the rest of the house, but with 3 straight days of rain, nothing has been started yet.

With the scaffolding down and out of the way, the side of the house looked like it was missing something. Sure enough, the windows in the dormers were missing their accent surrounds. After looking at the original drawing, we realized the dormers were actually built differently than what was drawn and that led to the confusion. So the stucco crew came back out to add the accents. As long as they had their scaffolding set up, we decided to add accents to all the windows so they will all look uniform. In the meantime, the plumber has returned to install our water heater, gas lines to the fireplaces, and exterior spigots. The HVAC guys should be finishing early next week as well, now that we have ironed out the theater cooling requirements. The final load of lumber for the basement sofits and theater ceiling should be delivered Monday or Tuesday along with the stone for the rest of the house.

After a short business trip to Austin, I returned to find the stucco completed and our house starting to show some color. A big Thank You to my wonderful fiancé, Debbie, who snapped the pictures while I was gone. As you can see the accent color was used for the window surrounds while the main color for everything else. The areas that are still blank will be filled in with stone. Now if only we can get the interior crews moving as fast.

The stucco crew has been progressing nicely by completing the back foam accents and almost completing layer 1 on the entire house. This morning we picked Tortilla as the main color and Java as the accent color. We're hoping when we return this afternoon some of the color has been started. The entire stucco project should be completed by Thursday. We can't wait!

Enjoy your visit!
