The basement, garage and front stoop have finally all been poured!
In the pictures, you can see the progression of final touches on
plumbing and then wet and dry shots of the garage and basement.
Next the framers will return to complete the stairs, frame out the
basement, and put any finishing touches on framing work on the other
two floors. The HVAC guys should also be coming back around the
same time to install the furnaces and finish runing ductwork. Once
the basement is framed, the electrician and structured wiring guys
can complete their portions so that the walls can be insulated and
dry walled.

The basement has been completely leveled off with stone as we await
concrete. The plumber has one last pipe to lay before that can occur,
but he was pulling into the driveway as I was leaving. Soon we will
have a basement floor!

PROGRESS! After waiting for schedules to align, there is finally
some action occurring at the house today. A large load of filler
stone was delivered this morning to begin filling the basement and
garage in preparation for the concrete to be poured. The electrician
has also started on the 2nd floor and is working his way down. Several
can lights and electrical boxes have been installed and most of
the upstairs wiring is complete.

For those interested in our wedding plans, I've updated the wedding
link to include some information.
Also hoping to see more action on the house as we've been told by
the builder that we're next on the list for the concrete guys.
06/10/04 - Picture Update

The shingles are now complete which should help keep things dry
with all this rain we've been getting lately. Hopefully, however,
the rain will allow the concrete guys to pour the basement. (On
sunny days they pour driveways and sidewalks)

A little more progress has been made on the shingles and HVAC. I
believe the HVAC guy is waiting on the basement to be poured before
completing his work. (Although that doesn't explain why the shingles
are taking so long).
06/01/04 - Picture Update

Most of the shingling has been completed and work on the HVAC has
started as well. We're crossing our fingers for rainy weather so
the concrete guys will come pour our basement. (If the weather is
nice, they've got sidewalks and driveways to pour instead.)
