11/15/04 - Picture and Site Update (8) (4)
All of the exterior stone has been completed including the chimney and front step. The driveway has finally been prepped as well, but the city is being difficult despite the rare
November warm spell. With the furnace installed, the heat has been turned on, allowing the drywall to be sanded and primed. There seems to be some argument with the trades over what should come next, cabinets or tile, but we're going to be pushing hard for cabinets. (The cabinet guy wants tile to put the cabinets on top of, but we can use less material if the cabinets go in first) We're crossing our fingers for a mid-December move in.
And the update that many have been waiting for...the Home Theater section finally has some action. Not too many pictures of the old theater, but a pretty up-to-date status of the new theater. Some of the hardware and equipment has been purchased already, but you'll have to wait to see them in their finished state.

With the weather getting colder, its now imperative that the outdoor items get finished soon. The stone guys have finished the entire back bay area as well as the areas under the sofits in the front, and the step leading into the house. All that is left for them is the chimney. The concrete crew should be back early next week to pour
the driveway and walkways, and not a moment too soon as the city requires all exterior concrete to be done by November 15th. On the inside, most of the tapping and mudding are complete. Since the furnaces haven't been installed yet, the crew is using a large propane heater to help dry out the mud. Once dry, the sanding crew can come in and smooth everything out. Cabinets, tile, trim, and paint are next on the list of what's left to complete. We're crossing our fingers there is no further delays.
