After a much needed vacation, I'm back to update the site, and boy
are there a lot of new pictures. Most of stone has been installed
in the meantime, and insulation has begun as well. The areas of
stone that you see unfinished is due to waiting on the siding crew
to install the sofit under the roofline. This was supposed to start
on Friday, but Ivan reared its ugly head all the way up here in
Ohio, and pushed the job to Monday. Insulation was started on Tuesday
and should be done this Wednesday, allowing drywalling to start.
Thankfully the remainder of the critical path tasks happen indoors
where weather cannot affect the crews.

After only a couple days, much of the wainscoting has been completed
around the side and front, and work on the turret has begun. Now
the wait for insulation and drywall.

On Monday, the gas fireplace units were installed in their structures,
and after weeks of bad weather and waiting, the stone guys have
finally appeared. Much like the stucco, there will be an initial
layer of mortar and wire mesh, followed by mortar and stone, and
then grout between the stones. So far the right side of the house
has been finished and they have begun to move around to the front.
The turret will probably be one of the last areas they work on due
to its rounded shape.
Enjoy your visit!
